FAQ

How much time does this take?

We recommend spending about 2 hours a day on learning the system.  Our system includes Google Apps and advertising tools such as Google Adwords and Facebook.

Where do I work?

You can work from home, a beach, an office or at your favorite coffee shop. It's up to you. We run events with our agency, so we spent time on the game field as well.

What are my hours? 

This is a virtual sports agency. You can work whenever you want.  In our experience, we had the high end office location. What we found was we spent most time at client locations and in neutral places such as restaurants and coffee shops. Our offices became an expensive "storage facility" for our desks, printers and supplies. Save your money. Turn a local restaurant, field house or gym into your office. The sportier the better.

Why should I do this?

If you are unemployed, searching for something new, or unhappy where you work, this is a great way to make a change. You can make as much money as you want, depending on how hard you work.

How do I get started?

Starting is the hardest part. First and foremost -  don't think - just do.  You first need to make sure you have security and can pay your bills. We are NOT going to provide you the security you need to get started. We recommend starting this before you quit your job. Once you are earning enough income to cover your bills, you can quit and work full time.  If you don't have a job, then get started right away. We recommend setting a goal of making $200 per day (you have to pay your taxes!!) Once you develop a routine, it becomes easier everyday. 

Do I have to sell anything?

Yes! It took me years to figure this out, but if you are a business owner, you are always selling. Don't get me wrong, you are not a salesperson, you are an educator. There are no hard closings or cold calls.  

As a business owner, selling is how you make money. We get inundated with resumes by people from some of the top sports management programs in the country. Most don't want to work. They want a desk with a phone and a full time salary. In this economy it doesn't exist anymore - or at least, no one is going to hand it to you. With our agency model, you can still have your desk, salary and benefits if you want. We will show you how you can do it. 

What am I Selling?

You have an arsenal of products and services to sell. You have everything from $6 million Indy Car contracts, online licensed apparel, shoes, sports gear, sports leagues, etc. Pick your favorite sport and we will build a sports business for you surrounding the product.

Am I an agent? 

You can be, but you have to follow the guidelines for the sport where you want to be an agent. If you are interested in representing athletes, our strategy is to hold the marketing contract and do a referral to a contract advisor. 

Let me explain. We tried to represent athletes. It wasn't feasible for us for two reasons: 1) It takes more time to maintain a client than the income justifies. Most contracts are league minimums. that means you may only be making $3,000 for every $100k in contract. It takes about $15,000 worth of time to make the $3,000. Being an agent is not feasible for most people (99.9% of the population). 2) If we turn an athlete away, they blame us for not making it pro. We don't want a tarnished image. If we recognize talent, we refer the talent to an agent in the industry. We don't charge fees and don't make anything off of the athletes. We can still be an sports agency, and keep our budgets and integrity in check.

How much money can I make?

We can't answer that until you tell us how much you want to make. For example, if you want to make $100,000 a year, we will create a customized plan to teach you how to do this. We start by dividing the $100k by 260 working days a year.  This translates into $385 dollars a day in revenue. If you choose to sell our auction items and licensed apparel, you will need to sell 1 -4 items a year.

In a real life example, I run youth flag football leagues as a way to promote my agency and make cash. In just a few months, I make as much as most college graduates do in a year. Again, it's up to you how much you make.

Why are you doing this?

We are building a nationally branded sports agency. Our logo wasn't cheap. It was strategically designed to build a recognizable brand. We believe our logo can be as recognizable as the Nike and McDonald's logos.
